TAKE THE LEAD ON SUPPORTING OUR MISSION IN THE FIELD
Our adult volunteers are a driving force for good behind BCM’s mission. When you volunteer with us, you’ll have the opportunity to support students as they tap into, strengthen, and expand social-emotional learning skills.
There are three unique volunteer roles at BCM:
Backpacking Expedition Adult Volunteers
Our 4-7 day backpacking expeditions are a challenging, adventurous way for students to explore their strengths alongside a supportive community of peers and adults. Volunteers are expected to hike or paddle up to eight miles per day while supporting youth with limited backpacking experience. All week-long programs run during the summer months.
Colorado Overnight Camp Volunteers
Our Colorado Overnight Camp Volunteers are responsible for supporting 8-to-12-year-olds on their very first camping experience. These volunteers help lead all camp activities, assist with meal times and serve as positive role models to BCM’s youngest participants.
Front Country Volunteers
Planning and fundraising for BCM is a year-round effort. Our Front Country Volunteers assist with in-office responsibilities, expedition gear management and special events. These positions are usually offered in our regional locations, but remote volunteer opportunities for some projects are available.
