Megan Aranow
Megan’s professional history has spanned many organizations, roles, and responsibilities but they are virtually all linked by a desire to support people’s sense of well-being. She has personally returned to the outdoors time and time again for inspiration, perspective, energy, and optimism. She believes wholeheartedly that the opportunity to develop a personal connection with nature should be accessible to everyone, while recognizing that those opportunities have far too often been linked with various forms of privilege in this country.
In her time with Big City Mountaineers, Megan has run the adventure fundraising program, managed brand partnerships, and worn a variety of other hats. She is excited to be focusing on communications work in her current role, crafting the strategy and processes that will help BCM share its work and the multitude of participant experiences.
She lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with her two young kiddos, big fluffy dog, and partner. Her favorite outdoor activities include exploring trails, rock scrambling, picnicking by the river, riding bikes, and introducing her kids to such adventures.
