Sara Morales

Sara grew up in Los Angeles County and feels lucky to have grown up with access to the beach, pools, and lots of sunshine. Sara did not have an opportunity to participate in backcountry programming until college and quickly recognized the increased self-confidence and interpersonal connections that this time provided her. She has been inspired by her transformative experiences in nature to work towards reducing barriers and increasing accessibility within outdoor programming for youth.  With Seattle as her home now over the last few years, the transition up the coast was easy with the expansive outdoor opportunities available from the ocean to the mountains in the Pacific Northwest. Sara likes to spend her free time surfing, playing water polo, knitting, and watching the Amazing Race.
